JOBday 2026: Over 500 students ready to enter the professional world

On April 17, 2026, the 18th edition of JOBday took place on the Mons campus of HELHa.

This annual event brought together more than 500 final-year students and nearly a hundred companies, with a clear objective: to support the transition into professional life.

A day focused on entering the workforce

Students from Bachelor’s programmes in Science, Technology and Life Sciences, as well as those enrolled in Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes in Arts, Business and Communication, along with Engineering Master’s students, were invited to take part in the event.

The day began with information sessions designed to present the structure of JOBday and help future graduates prepare for professional interactions.

These sessions were followed by interviews held at the stands of the many companies present on campus, including Acerta, Extia Belgium, INFRABEL, IBA (Ion Beam Applications), the Belgian Defence, Lidl, and many others.

Job opportunities… and challenges too!

Beyond job opportunities, participants also received personalised advice from Human Resources professionals to better prepare for job interviews.

Throughout the day, four challenges were organised, including workshops on taking a professional CV photo and sessions on how to optimise LinkedIn use, led by Randstad.

A valuable experience for all participants

For many students, the day proved to be a real stepping stone towards their future.

“I had never had the opportunity to attend this kind of event before. It’s really reassuring to feel supported and guided for what comes next. As a young person, it’s not always easy to picture the future, and this day helped me see things more clearly,”
says Laïsa Pau, a Public Relations student.

The event also provided a valuable opportunity for companies to identify potential future employees or interns.
