Fencing, futsal, hurdles: several students proudly represented HELHa in sports competitions and brought home medals. Beyond the results, it is a committed and united student community that continues to grow.
On February 14 in Ghent, Maxime Debacker won gold in the 60m hurdles (senior category), while Chloé Gaudry claimed victory in the 1500m (junior category). The first women’s 4×200m relay team also marked an important milestone in the development of women’s sport at HELHa.
On March 1, Quentin Gamez secured a gold medal at the national fencing championships.
In futsal, two HELHa teams qualified for the final stage of the Hainaut Academic Hub tournament, with the TEAM finishing second out of 16 teams representing five institutions.
Meanwhile, league matches continue for the eleven teams competing this season. More updates will be shared during the Sports Awards Evening.
