To meet these challenges, HELHa prepares its students to be immediately operational by offering VCA certification as part of their studies.
VCA stands for “VGM Checklist Aannemers” (VGM = Safety, Health and Environment in Dutch).
This certification has become essential in many industrial sectors, including:
These training courses are delivered by Le Forem or Technofutur and are free of charge for HELHa students.
Four professionally oriented Bachelor’s programmes within the Science, Technology and Life Sciences Department integrate the Operational VCA certification into their curriculum:

The Operational Management VCA (higher level) leads to a recognised certification valid for 10 years.
Obtaining VCA certification during studies is a major asset on a CV and significantly enhances employability.
It also represents a saving of time and money (around €600) for companies hiring HELHa graduates.
