New joint programme at HELHa: Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education

Starting in September 2025, a new Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education will be launched, the result of a collaboration between Haute École en Hainaut (HEH), Haute École Louvain en Hainaut (HELHa), and Haute École Provinciale de Hainaut – Condorcet.

A programme at the crossroads of social work, health, and education

This three-year programme (180 ECTS credits) will train professionals able to:

  • Adapt their interventions to the needs of children and families
  • Support parenting and communication between different environments
  • Design tailored childcare projects
  • Address societal challenges linked to early childhood care

 

A unique organisation in Mons

Courses will be taught in the HEH buildings in Mons, with teaching activities shared among instructors from all three partner institutions.

Many career opportunities

Graduates will be able to work in a variety of sectors, including:

  • Day-care centres
  • Home-based childcare and after-school care services
  • Preschool and kindergarten classes
  • Special education
