During March 2024, as part of the International Engineers’ Weeks, 30 HELHa students in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Electromechanics and Electronics, along with 8 teachers, travelled to various European countries: Spain, Portugal, Germany and Poland.
Every year, this stimulating event is organised within the frame of the Euclides network, of which our School of Engineering is a member, and brings together students from all over Europe!
Six intensive weeks to discover specific subjects, combining theoretical courses, laboratories, company visits, workshops, working groups and the use of cutting-edge technologies.
For our students, this exceptional experience is designed to give them a taste for adventure abroad, to confront them with other educational realities, and to discover culturally different practical approaches.
This year’s edition of 2024 will explore a wide range of themes, including :
Many of the laboratories and lectures are given by our own teachers!
According to Vesna Jerkovic, Coordinator of the Industrial Engineering Master’s in Chemistry, “taking part in this kind of program enables students and teachers to develop their network and their skills in cutting-edge subjects. It’s also about challenging yourself and moving beyond your comfort zone. All the programs are in English, so it’s also an opportunity to improve your command of the language. It’s also a first international experience for many people”.
>> Unique encounters, challenging yourself and discovering new things are the hallmarks of these international weeks, which are funded by ERASMUS+ grants and, more specifically, by the European Commission’s Blended Intensive Programme (BIP).
