A survey to identify students’ needs

All universities and university colleges in the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles are required by decree to establish a Social Council.

What is a Social Council?

The Council comprises 32 members: 50% students, with the remainder representing management and staff. This means students play a crucial role in decision-making.

A survey to more accurately assess needs

Since the funds allocated by the Social Council are intended to address both individual and collective needs of students, it is important to better understand these needs. At the Haute École Louvain en Hainaut, a large-scale survey will be conducted in the next few weeks.

This survey covers various topics:

  • Study path
  • Mobility
  • Time management
  • Student employment
  • Health
  • Housing conditions
  • Financial situation
  • Use of available aid

How to take part in the survey?

On Tuesday, February 4, 2025, the students received the survey link by email. The questionnaire was anonymous, and all data was treated confidentially.

This is an opportunity for HELHa students to report on their living conditions and needs.. The greater the participation, the better the Social Council will be able to respond to students’ needs.

The survey results will be shared in April 2025, after analysis.
