All universities and university colleges in the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles are required by decree to set up a Social Council.
The Social Council is a body that manages funds intended to meet students’ needs. Composed of 32 members, it is made up of 50% students, with the remaining members representing the management and staff. This means students play a crucial role in decision-making.
Since the funds allocated by the Social Council are intended to address both individual and collective needs of students, it is important to better understand these needs. At the Haute École Louvain en Hainaut, a large-scale survey will be conducted in the coming weeks on the living conditions of students at HELHa.

On Tuesday, February 4, 2025, students received the survey link in their email inbox. The questionnaire is anonymous, and all data will be treated confidentially.
This is an opportunity for HELHa students to share their daily realities and their needs. The greater the participation, the better the Social Council will be able to meet expectations. The survey results will be shared in April 2025, after analysis.
