A love letter to the World

HELHa invites its students, lecturers, and staff members to take part in the “The World Letter” challenge.

The goal? Write a love letter, a poem, a song, or even create a drawing, dedicated to the World!

The concept was launched seven years ago by Franco-Iranian artist Cocovan. Her project stands out for its unique approach: she sets up a desk right on the street and invites passersby, regardless of their origins or personal stories, to write a love letter to the world.

The Belgian branch of the project is led by the Green Office created by ULiège. Its aim is to strengthen the artist’s initiative within the UNI For Change community and its partners, including HELHa. This collective’s mission is to mobilize communities engaged in concrete actions for a positive social and environmental transition.

How to take part in the Love Letter to the World Challenge

Here are the steps:

  1. Write your love letter on a blank sheet of paper, expressing your positive vision of the world.

  2. Take a photo or scan your sheet, making sure the image is bright and well-aligned.

  3. Send your creation via this form: https://forms.office.com/e/BqcAc1repM

A writing workshop with the artist will be held online on March 21, from 12:30 to 14:00. Here’s the registration link.

Why take part?

This challenge seeks to spark positive emotions, strengthen community bonds, and nurture a sense of belonging to a global movement dedicated to peace and harmony.

Writing a love letter to the world offers many benefits, both individually and collectively:

  • Self-connection
  • Artistic expression
  • A sense of belonging to a caring, committed community

These positive emotions foster engagement and contribute to a dynamic of change. The transition to a more sustainable world does not rely solely on scientific facts and rational decisions. It also appeals to our senses and emotions, which are essential for raising true awareness and inspiring deep commitment.

This love letter project is perfectly in line with HELHa’s values and its commitment to promoting social and environmental transition.
