On 6 October 2023, HELHa was honoured to welcome three representatives from Quebec’s CEGEPSs in Mons as part of an exploratory mission organised by the Academy for Research and Higher Education (ARES), and the Fédération des cégeps.
The HELHa International Department coordinated these exchanges with the different Departments of Education, Sciences and Technology, Applied Arts, Health and Economics.
In the frame of this fruitful visit, Isabelle Fournier, International Development Advisor – Cégep of Baie-Comeau, Francis Turcotte, Communications and International Development Coordinator – Cégep of Matane, and Marie-Andrée Payeur, International Mobility Advisor at Collège Montmorency met HELHa representatives from those various areas of studies.
This opportunity enabled HELHa and the Quebec CEGEPs to compare the organisation of Higher Education in their respective countries and to consider potential partnerships, whether for collaborative projects or for teachers and students mobilities.
This visit was part of an exploratory mission to strengthen cooperation organised jointly by the Fédération des cégeps and the Academy for Research and Higher Education (ARES). HELHa already collaborates with a number of Quebec institutions, including the Cégep of Sainte-Foy, the ITHQ, the University of Montréal and the University of Saint-Paul in Ottawa.
